Light Rays (Lens Artists Photo Challenge 8-24-2021)

Hello Readers – Joining with the Lens-Artists for the theme of exploring the magic of light.

Feels like eyes beaming out some light?
Quietness
Feel God’s Glory coming down

Next up, a highlighting the blue sky and stream of light

***

This next image, looking up at the trees at sunrise, reminded me of the Tudor Dresses.

This next photo reminded me of “knocked down but NOT out” –

Still hanging on…

*** update – added one more image of the slanted tree***

And lastly, this photo reminded me that when our little ol’ world feels heavy or small, we need to remember that the greater community we all share is something that can lift and bring cheer.

Hope your month of August is going well.

    1. Hi – I was surprised to find the tree left there – I wonder if because of COVID air was not removed and might be cleaned up later – hmmmm – in he meantime I will let it remind me that we can be down but not out ☀️☀️☀️☀️

  1. Great choices again – love the Tudor dresses, the table and structured floor – and the blue sky with that bird to focus on. Excellent idea.

  2. I see what you mean about the Tudor dresses.
Did the powerlines catch the tree, or is that an optical illusion?

  4. The sun’s rays are awesome … how lucky you were to be at the right place and right time to catch those sunbeams Yvette. I was at the Park one day when a huge sunbeam was shining down, transforming the entire area into an ethereal setting. It was a heady feeling and I did not capture it with my camera as it was before I carried a camera with me. I believe I did a post, but used an image from a photo site which really didn’t do the experience justice.

    1. Hi Linda! Glad you were able to find an online image to at least capture part of the experience

<Only later did I see the beams of light from that late afternoon sun. And while it was not the photo I wanted – the light gave me something else and maybe something better! Ha

      1. You are 100% right Yvette – sometimes we have to just live in the moment. That was something special. I always like to see the pieces of wood with rope tied around, near a pier or shoreline. Most of the time that rope is frayed and is good for a close-up photo, but you did capture much more than you bargained for.

    1. Hi Pam! It is a little surreal that eight months have gone by in this year already and Carson that tomorrow is September

  6. Yvette, wonderfully uplifting images and I love rays of light, whether in photos or real light! They have a sheer magical quality where anything feels possible! August has flown by and I’m not ready to admit that Autumn might be on the way …

    1. Hi Annika – thanks for your lovely comment – and unlike you – I am so ready to admit that fall is on the way (but normally I am hanging on to summer more so I smile with ya on that sentiment ☀️☀️☀️) and I will email you the questions for the interview – looking forward to that –

  7. Oooh, what a lovely selection of images to show the power of light. I would be hard pushed to choose a favourite but I’ve looked at the first one more than a few times. Just love those stripes of light.
