Re-Create & Celebrate Book by Cindy Georgakas @ Uniquely Fit

Hello Readers, Today’s post is about Cindy Georgakas’ book: Re-Create & Celebrate: 7 Steps To Turn Your Dreams Into Reality.

For those of you that do not know Cindy – her blog about page is here –  and the Priorhouse December 2020 interview with Cindy is here.

Cindy has worked in the health and wellness field for more than 35 years and her blog, Uniquely Fit, brings so much enthusiasm and joy into the blogosphere. Cindy uses her blog to share life stories, essays, and poetry and she has a clever way of weaving these elements into unique posts that offer wellness takeaways.

Cindy’s book is similar to her blog, where she shares genuinely and offers teaching points and motivation. Her book has a mix of memoir with self-help tips.

Here is my early review:

Recreate and Celebrate is a book that leaves the reader inspired. Georgakas’ decades of coaching experience and expert knowledge of human motivation is poured into each chapter. The tagline of the book says there are seven main steps for transforming dreams into reality; however, there are hundreds of takeaways layered in the stories and anecdotes.

The content of this book edifies the reader while offering ideas to augment wellness. The genuine passion and uplifting messages are a personal outpouring from the author – providing the reader with guidance and encouragement. I highly reccommend this book to anyone who wants to be inspired – and suggest it even more for anyone who wants to recreate, and celebrate, their life more.

Here is today’s review:

I consider it an honor to have a sneak peak at a book. Diving into Re-Create & Celebrate: 7 Steps To Turn Your Dreams Into Reality led to a bit of a surprise. I expected the book to have clear-cut chapters anchored around seven self-help tips for growth and life enhancement. Instead, this book was packed with hundreds of tips, which flowed naturally as Cindy poured out her wisdom and knowledge.

Cindy’s writing is easy to read and she makes her points directly: “Bad news spreads faster than good news, and we have become addicted to it. It’s how the media survives. Make a point to look for articles that make you smile and lift your spirit. A thankful and grateful heart creates more abundance and love in your life.”

Cindy’s astute and direct advice is presented with her unique mix of memoir and key takeaways. For example, after sharing personal stories, Cindy reminded readers about the powerful impact of self-talk and the need to monitor it: “Words can illuminate your spirit, or kick you to the curb. What are your inner voices doing to you? Start noticing what words you say to yourself…” There are hundreds more little snippets like this in her book and the energy and holistic wisdom will not disappoint.

    1. Cindy / I have mentioned this before how I felt the title was a little misleading with the “seven steps” because there are literally hundreds of wisdom nuggets and pearls !
But it all anchors around those seven steps and this book really reflects you!

    1. Hi Marsha
      Your comment made my day!
Because I didn’t angst too much over this as we are so busy this month – originally I wanted to make an m Audio track (and have some Audio tracks for the other website) but this non-audio post was the best i could do this week and I am glad it came across wel!
It did help that I made the early review and so when I made the post yesterday – I decided to just a second half
      Okay – enough rambling
I look forward to your June post for Cindy’s book
      🙏📚📚☀️

      1. Thanks for the spelling correction, too. I knew it wasn’t right, but there went my send fingers before I got it corrected! LOL You have had a super busy month. Let me know if there is anything else I should be doing, Dickens-wise or book wise. I’ve procrastinated about Story Chat only because we’ve been busy during the remodel and going back and forth to Scottsdale. I’ll get back to it next week. 🙂 Have a great weekend, Yvette. Congratulations on your great review. 🙂

      1. I did some work with podcasting a few years ago but I wasn’t too good at it. I interviewed a big name influencer at the time, and my video recording hadn’t worked. I was super embarrassed and published the interview without the video, in spite of spending money on a professional microphone set up. I looked much more professional than I was. 🙂

        1. Marsha – I liked your story and it reminded me about how much I admire with you – the way you LET IDEAS GROW AND THEN TRY THINGS! Not everything works out but great things happen when we try – and so your story made me smile. Even though it did not work out – there is so much layered in your story !
and speaking of ideas – it is awesome to see Cindy’s idea for a book lead t this unique memoir and self-help book. She really wrote a niche book that will inspire many!

      1. I think the personal experiences showing her tips in action are important. They demonstrate her thoughts in action and bring the practice down to earth. It’s so well done!
