Hello Readers,
Things have been a little busy here and I finally was able to get back on the ol’ blog today. Today’s post is to share some art.
When we visited Austin in October 2021, my son took us to Barton Springs.
I will share more photos from Barton Springs later – and let me know if you like the prayer wheel. It sure looks really nice sitting there in the park – with the cool colors of water and sky. Also, when you spin it, the color streaks change depending on the spin speed and amount of sunlight.
I hope your month is off to a nice start. 🙂

That’s a wonderful orb. Worlds in its reflections. (K)

I like the prayer wheel, albeit it looks like a big blue marble, but that’s cool.

Ally, it really does have a “big blue marble” vibe now that you mention it…
it also feels like a globe (especially would if it was tilted) –

The prayer wheel is the blue sphere?

What a great concept. First, it’s good to connect to art and I think I am guilty of looking casually, snapping a picture, and then moving on. I don’t often take time to contemplate, and I suspect that I’m not alone in that behavior. Sometimes simple art is the most profound but often misunderstood or unappreciated. We saw a huge painting in Paris in a museum that was cobalt blue – nothing else. It looked like a wall-sized bulletin board. I did not appreciate the artfulness of it. I still don’t but I didn’t sit in front of it and meditate either.

The colors are fabulous in this prayer wheel (or orb … it reminds me a little of a bowling ball). It looks like a peaceful place to sit and ponder whatever is on your mind.
