Hello Readers,
Monday Morning Blooms for #Treesquare
The Crepe Myrtle’s are lavishing some love on us with their flowers this month.
No blooms on this little ceramic tree, but the pink color fits right in today, eh?
Quote for today:
“The love I give is second hand, someone gave me lots of love first.”
See you all again soon 🙂

Adorable post, Yvette. I love the second hand quote. Crape Myrtles are one of my favorite trees. I miss them. We had about five in our yard.

Hi Marsha – what a nice tree to have in your yard –
And now it is time for the different vibe with the AZ landscapes 😉

Yes, and we love those. They are amazing. The rest of my month will be out and about visiting the various places I’ve been – at least the ones where I have digital pictures. 🙂

There was a crepe myrtle in my neighborhood last year that was so vibrant it sent me on a quest for raspberry sherbet ice cream. Alas, this year it has been covered by an overgrowth.

Hi Dawn- sad that the tree is covered by overgrowth – and the sherbet connection was fun to read about – hope you are having a nice summer

Hi joy – I am skimming a book that has hundreds of quotes – nice little paper back – a little old – but still relevant – and this quote was in there 🌸

What is the title of the book?
Some of the old books are the best. 🙂

Too late to find out now. These friends just keep going out with the tide.

Love the light in the first shot, Yvette, and the second one reminded me of lilacs, which I miss, especially the scent. I like the quote too. Food for thought. Happy Monday!

Thanks Janet! I miss lilacs also. Tried to grow them here a few times but no success
In Denver – we had a medium sized lilac shrub emerge from a stone path – the root for it was old and it made its way up and it was a wonderful addition along the back fence and softened the stones

In Ohio we had three: one white, one lilac, and one purple near the sidewalk. In Illinois, our house had a number of bushes right by the front windows so if they were open, the scent was amazing. They seemed to be a different type but they were still wonderful.

We have a Crepe Myrtle that doesn’t like to flower. It grows, it looks healthy, but it does not want to flower. Therefore I’m enjoying these photos even more, it’s the only way I’m going to see flowers…

Love that quote. Very thought provoking. I’ve never heard of Crepe Myrtle and my guess is that it likes a lovely warm climate year round?

Those Crepe Myrtles are gorgeous. That quotation matched perfectly and I’ve never seen a pink ceramic tree before!

that pink ceramic tree was outside Starbucks in a mall in western New York – and I have special family
memories waiting in line staring at those trees (they had a few ceramic ones but I only grabbed this photo and I have some family members who get Starbucks a lot so when I visit them we go there ) and at the time, I liked the way it added a touch of Christmas -beans in background –
thanks for the comment Linda

My grandmother had a ceramic tree just that size, but green with snow on it. We had a larger one, but I’ve not taken it out in years. A friend of the family took a pottery class and her husband had heavy-duty wiring put in the house for a kiln and she made Christmas trees, vases and some pottery for friends and family then abandoned the hobby.
