I was immediately thinking of Patsy’s Cline’s song “Crazy” – my parents listened to country western for many years and that music grew on me at an early age, even though I rarely, if ever, listen to it now. I always look up when geese are honking over my head. I like to see their V-shape and synchronization. And I like contrails too.

    1. Hi Linda – I love that song! I had a job in 1992 where they had karaoke and “crazy” was a popular song that people chose – your comment reminded me of that!

      1. My parents played all the “old cowboy” songs every Sunday on the stereo. They did not like the newer country stars, just the older singers like Hank Williams, Jr. or Patsy Cline, Hank Snow. I think I know all those records by heart as I heard them. My mom liked country music, but it was my father who put the records on mid-Sunday morning and they were on. All. Day. Long. I really liked Patsy Cline’s songs. A friend named her Schnauzer “Patsy” after Patsy Cline.

        2. Yes, Gayle is a year younger than me, but loved Patsy Cline. The “Coalminer’s Daughter” is Loretta Lynn – I grew up listening to her as well. I forgot about her. I really liked that movie and thought Sissy Spacek was great in it. I was exposed to all that country music for years, then when I worked at the diner all through college/university, we had a jukebox. It had a mix of tunes, among them country. When the song “Linda On My Mind” by Conway Twitty was number one, the jukebox man put it on and most of the jukebox-playing customers saw it and played it … the more times it got played, the longer it remained on there. It was kind of a joke that so many people played it, some sang it to me – it was a small diner, mostly regulars and got to know everyone, all friendly. In many ways the best job I had as it brought me out of my shell. Here’s the short video and I just listened to it and knew all the words and goose bumps to hear it again.

        3. Thanks – I am in the moody for an old school country song! Not sure I know of any Conway songs but that name is familiar

        4. I don’t think I heard of Conway Twitty before that song. They were fun years Yvette as they brought me out of my shell. Then I worked in an ad agency in the Creative Department for 18 months after graduation from university so that was a game changer for my personality as well.
