Have some street shots hot off the press – or at least current within the last few weeks.
the guy on the right offered me some eye contact — nice.
walking…Bench photo – depicts “waiting” (to the beat of a pink floyd line “waiting…”
Neon seems to come and go. I once had a job (1990) where we went from nice black uniforms to these neon uniforms and they were loud and terrible. However, sometimes the neon look can be fresh – 🙂 I wanted to grab this photo to capture the phone up and in a action. The little girl’s expression was a bonus. Also, later I liked some of the other elements here – the spacing and where the dots are with the man’s body – and then the way the post leads up from his arm and into the top part of this photo
This man told me where someone could go for ten dollars worth of “good pot” = not my thing – but some folks might find the info useful – ha

Hey – this is the lady from the bench photo (above) 🙂
All photos from East Coast of US August 2020 – thanks for viewing – do you have any thoughts to share about the street shot photos? Anything stand out?
An interesting collection, Yvette. I particularly liked the one of the bench, where people are almost sitting right on top of each other under the ‘6 feet apart’ sign 😊
I noticed too that at least one of the people in the first photo noticed you taking the shot. Those neon shoes are quite something!! Don’t try to do anything bad and then run away while wearing them. The police will have no trouble following you. 😉
Great idea, Yvette, to post views of the street. I like them all!! I noticed the line for helicopter rides, too, how it seems people were taking the 6 feet and making it 12 feet. I keep noticing that in my community too: when there is the space to do so, people give each other a lot of space. It’s good. Those neon shoes!! Mine would look that good for 2 hours, then I’d start getting scuffs and dirt all over them.
Hi C, good point about the neon getting a little dirty in a couple hours – ha – and sometimes I just think it is fun when people wear certain things like that loud yellow.

and you are right – some the spacing was more like 12 feet – I like how we see more things later than when we first took the photo
These are so fun, Yvette. I had to take a second look to notice the spots and the little girl’s expression – totally a bonus. Loved all of them, though.
I always enjoy your street scenes.

Oh yes, I like the picture of a man taking picture holding the young child too. Many interesting elements there.

What stands out for me is the masks and social distancing. It’s good to see people taking responsibility for their own and other’s health.

That’s the main thing for me, too. Nearly everyone being careful. Out here in the West it’s not so universal.

And we don’t yet have to wear them in Australia.

Hi Norah – thanks for the comment and I also was impressed with the distance and mask wearing during most of this summer.

Great street shots Yvette – I get unsolicited advice too sometimes and it is easier to keep a straight face with a mask on these days. 🙂
