AS 2016 winds down, I have some post topics that have been waiting on my “to get to” list.
One of those topics has to do with magnesium chloride (Linda, I finally got to it…).

Earlier this year, Mike from yoga gave us some samples of magnesium chloride and he told us that it is the most absorbable magnesium around. We put a tiny bit under our tongue (it calms the body) and he then gave me a baggie with some of the flakes. When I got my home, my husband jokingly said it looked like “urine saturated driveway salt” – ha.
The next day I was at en event – and was talking with the health guru J, and I then shared some of the mag chloride with him. We did not have anything to put it in and so we went looking in the kitchen and found gloves… and hey, it worked. So here was Jason’s sample of urine saturated driveway salt, um , I mean Magnesium chloride.

Anyhow, this is one of my favorite products of the year – great for foot soaks, sublingual use, or for transdermal treatments (spray on the skin). And MANY folks insist that migraines are chased away with the use of this kind of (highly absorbable) magnesium, and while I believe that parasites, nutrient imbalance, and inner toxicity are at root causes for most ailments like that, I will tell you that two people I know can testify to having their migraines cease after taking magnesium chloride for the past few months! Magnesium is great for skin and listen up folks with Lyme or Morgellons disease because Magnesium Chloride might be very useful to you with your persistent symptoms.
Side note, all of this sharing is just for educational purposes – and it is not meant to treat or diagnose, ok? But I had to share how awesome it is. I also do NOT have any affiliate links here – this is just me and an item I like.
Wellness Momma (HERE) has a great post about how to make your now magnesium oil (it is not really an oil, just a liquid) and I have purchased the oil in a spray bottle (under ten dollars), but I also make my own “oil” as in the next photo:

If you are wondering why magnesium chloride is so good, you can do your own Internet search – or read what Dr. Sircus wrote about it:
According to Dr. Sircus (HERE)
“For purposes of cellular detoxification and tissue purification, the most effective form of magnesium is magnesium chloride, which has a strong excretory effect on toxins and stagnant energies stuck in the tissues of the body, drawing them out through the pores of the skin.
Chloride is required to produce a large quantity of gastric acid each day and is also needed to stimulate starch-digesting enzymes.
According to Daniel Reid, author of The Tao of Detox, magnesium sulfate, commonly known as Epsom salts, is rapidly excreted through the kidneys and therefore difficult to assimilate. This would explain in part why the effects from Epsom salt baths do not last long and why you need more magnesium sulfate in a bath than magnesium chloride to get similar results. Magnesium chloride is easily assimilated and metabolized in the human body.”
“In addition to its functions as an electrolyte, chloride combines with hydrogen in the stomach to make hydrochloric acid, a powerful digestive enzyme that is responsible for the breakdown of proteins, absorption of other metallic minerals, and activation of intrinsic factor, which in turn absorbs vitamin B12.”
“Magnesium chloride solution was not only harmless for tissues, but it had also a great effect over leucocytic activity and phagocytosis; so it was perfect for treatment of external wounds.– Dr. Jean Durlach”

Hi there 🙂 Interesting post but every time I see about how wonderful this is, I remember back to my body’s complete rejection of it. Needless to say, it did not help with my migraines at all. Which I write just because I think it needs to be said a lot, that migraine suffers unfortunately have to work out what works best for them and it tends to be a highly individual thing and can be a frustrating process. Thanks for letting me have my say, I’ll put my soapbox away now 🙂

No – keep speaking up – please!
But are you sure that you had magnesium chloride ?
I don’t recall the one you took….
And I really believe that migraines are related to Parasite eggs / one of my mentors has seen this with many patients – the eggs somehow cross the barrier to reach the brain –
And actually – Angela at the “clueless doctors”. Blog has helped more than 4,000 migraine sufferers with magnesium –
I don’t know what mag she uses – but she is helping people live a better life!
I still believe root causes need to be addrssed which involves cleansing (slowly but ongoing )
I believe that magnesium is only one part of the solution.
It is like trying to make a cake with only eggs.
The recipe calls for more…
And I agree with you fully – that a person needs to figure out what their body needs!
Like the CALM magnesium was only so so for me – but Mr CS was a bit rescued by it!
And so with your magnesium –
I would ask which kind you took?
And how long you took it for?
And when you took it (w food or on empty stomach)
In my experience people take something for a few days and then have a healing crisis and they stop taking it thinking the item was bad – when it was herxheimer reaction – and we should always cut back or stop so we can assess – but the healing crisis is mistaken for allergies – etc
Further –
I believe that even though we are different -oh so diverse because some people have a toxic load that started in utero –
Then we had different water supplies – different stress (some had years making cortisol run thru their Body) and then exercise matters – people who do not stimulate their lymph have issues- when it can be done In five minutes of stretching and moving – )
and then the enzymes we have or don’t have play a huge role! Parasites send out enzyme inhibitors and fungus does too – so I can’t say enough about needing enzymes for health!
and of course we have individual antibiotic use and probiotic use or not use as well.
HOWEVER -with all that diversity mentioned – at the end of the day – we are all still VERY similar !
Ben Carson once noted that when he did surgery – he cut people open and did not know what color their skin was…
Well he also found one heart – a liver- lungs – vessels -and a human body!
And as humans – we need enzymes as our sparks of life – we need amino acids and protein – we need the good bacteria that might have been killed off – we need our b vitamins in a complex form – and we need life giving minerals – oh and greens -etc
I know you know so much of this – esp being a mom and athlete !
My point is that while we have individuality-
We have similar bodies that need nutrients!
immune systems that function the same.
And the minerals I have been taking the last few months are from “source naturals” and they are a blend that supports the kreb’s cycle!
I think I mentioned before that Trader Joe’s cal mag in a green base with vit D was a rescue to me in 2013- now I see it was because it was so absorbable and had a few extra things (like the greens and D) and the bit of betaine HCL was key!
And so I guess there is risk when writing about an item! It can make our head spin!
And so I think the goal is to realize there are many ingredients to restoring health but we customize –
I have stopped giving specific advice and I just try to remind folks to maybe start with a good liver support – we want the liver and kidneys supported at all times – and then slowly work on cleansing – must go slow for many reasons
And then either with food and or supplements – we fortify the body
The goal is to rebuild the bioterrain!
And taking magnesium – even the nice chloride mentioned here – is still NOT enough to rebuild that bio terrain.
We need to cleanse out the GI tract because flukes are often there – and an assortment of parasites! Some parasites lie dormant for decades and then have activity-like a tapeworm someone got as child ….
(And actually – we do not want to be completely parasite free – look up helming therapy)
Oh and then
Giardia has been known to hang out in the ducts of the liver and then when conditions inside are favorable for them – they multiple and cause issues for folks –
I forget the stats on giardia – but very common to have giardiasis and think it is misdiagnosed often!
so we all carry stuff in the intestines and when the worm burden gets too heavy – combined with heavy metals from living in the world – and maybe candidiasis – well the immune system gets overworked and the glands get drained -etc
So cleansing has to be part of the solution! We have pipes inside and it can take many cleanses to really clean it out –
we go slow and always “do no harm” and it can be work –
I like sonnes cleanse – for many reasons –
but health plus inc is the top brand I suggest folks can consider – –
The health plus inc cleanses are affordable and effective –
the
Inner out cleanse (60 bucks and is also good ) but again- someone might do it for two weeks and expect Miracles when their body might need three Rounds at least.
Another mentor of mine suggested one month of on and off cleansing for each year alive – ((it takes a few years to clean the GI))
And must do cleaning also while supplementing with the right absorbable nutrients.
Ok – I’ll wrap this up soon – but it has become such a passion area – ha!
But
Keep in mind it can take months to see a difference for some things
Only very sick folks usually feel stuff work right away – because at the cellular level we don’t always feel -what is happening! I am still learning so much still!
Last think to note ((to show that magnesium alone is not enough))
LOGOS Nutritionals has the best wellness supplement package I know of – people report feeling better sometimes after on it for only a week!
I owe much of my early healing to their wellness kit.
The kit includes:
a mag cal blend -called magnifical
And also—-
An omega blend
Enzymes
A probiotic
A liver formula (blend formulas are always better for the liver rather than only milk thistle)
Co q 10
And their multi vitamin (called thymic formula) is the mac daddy for healing because it has glandulars and little extras for absorption and healing – not perfect – Cos they use a pharmaceutical glaze- but their Thymic formula has been the best multi I have come across
they also offer a money back guarantee – which is why I tried them – and instead of asking for a refund – I was sending people to their site!
So for edu purposes only I suggest anyone who is ill or feels imbalance – well folks should consider trying LOGOS wellness protocol for thirty days to see it works for them.
And then with the mag chloride – I believe it is a powerful help – and I know two ladies who have not had a migraine since taking it. One of them is also taking Trader Joe’s cal mag (but only a few tablets a week) and she drinks kefir almost every day – and
Ok
Sorry to ramble – but I have been wanting to post more about this .
Please let me know what kind of mag you took and how long and with what else – and I was wondering if you liked the CALM sample ?
– feel free to email me – or if no reply comes to you – that is fine too….
And again – I thank you for your input here!

Wow, you did write a blog post already, it’s right here just copy and paste my friend 🙂
So, the doctor I was seeing at the time who helped me get on my regime who had me try the magnesium agreed that it wasn’t part of the answer for me. That’s the short answer, it was a bit complicated!
I do think that the most important thing for me to have done and continue to do was look at lifestyle issues, everything from what I eat and how I exercise, to who I have in my life. It is all connected.

Well said and I really believe it is all connected too!
And you see- I am so passionate this topic that my this long reply flowed quickly from my thumbs tapping on the mobile (tat tat tats) ha!
And one final thought
Check out
“Concentrace”
If you ever have the chance – really nice balanced solution of absorbable minerals .
Have a great day

Wow, Y, you’ve got some fascinating info here. I switched a couple of years ago to Himalayan Salt because it contains minerals including magnesium (and it’s so pretty 😉 ). I’m going to also check out that LOGOS wellness product you wrote about above. Sounds good. Hope your Thanksgiving was fab. I tried not to eat too much — “tried” being the optimum word here! HA! TTYL! Hugs, my friend!
