For a February walk with restless Jo, I decided I would stroll to find find a symmetry photo for the wpc this week.

At first I thought I would find some symmetry while going out for burgers, but no luck.

I thought surely one of the free peanuts at Five Guys would have a bit of symmetry… but no luck there either.

The green beans did not bring me any closer either, but these olive oil, salt and pepper baked greens were tasty.

Next, I started looking up and around – to maybe see if symmetry could be found out there – and  this barbed wire is linked to Debbie’s LULD.

But I only found asymmetrical swirls.

Sometimes trees can offer a great example of symmetry – but not this one:

So then I turned to some Breaking Bad for inspiration:

This was fun to do (and joy is…. having fun with BB images), but I still needed a photo for the weekly photo challenge!

Then!

I looked over and saw a bit of symmetry in this old Richmond doorway.

A kind gentleman waited so I could make the shot – and then he gave a wave.

  4. Fantastic shots! I loved how you featured the symmetry shot by first showing what symmetry wasn’t. Though, the tree and wire swirl photos were amazing. It was definitely their asymmetry that made them beautiful. Happy Monday!

    1. dude – I think you are correct – I kind of missed it – !! I actually took one burger off of mine – so definitely would have pulled from the symmetry after that – but as tasty as they were – had to make it a single… lol

  16. Love this Y…firstly, I’m starving and I’m now drooling for that burger…but the beans look fab too! And then love your search for symmetry and then the crowning glory…BB photos…with thought bubbles! Fabulous!!!     1. thanks so much Lisa – and I am not a huge “french fry person” – but these were really good…. cooked in peanut oil which I guess they “talk up” because it costs more and has no trans fat.

  24. Ok, first of all, I’m glad I’ve already had dinner because looking at the pics of the burger, peanuts and green beans (my favorite) got me hungry for any kind of food, symmetrical or otherwise!
    Plus, your search for a symmetrical tree made me laugh — sorry Mother Nature didn’t come through this time!
    Yet, I was glad to see that you found a great symmetrical object to photograph — the doorway is perfect! Brava!

  29. That food was so well photographed that I am now having to make myself a snack in Pavlovian response :-). The wires were totally cool. Great find. And the doorway was awesome with and without the pedestrian.

    PS – Your Breaking Bad pics reminded me to go download Better Call Saul episodes for the boat while I still have internet!

    1. well now I am dinging the bell too – ha!

      and glad I was able to help remind ya about the “better call saul” – and we just watch the third episode last night (and no spoiler from me – I promise) but I did not think it was as good as the first two episodes – but then I know they are still building the story and all that.
      Also, I watched so many Breaking Bad episodes in a row (because I watched the majority only recently – –this last holiday break) and so it feels weird to just watch one. ha!
      anyhow, I am going to post my 3 favorite things from “better call saul” later this week – or something like that….

  33. A VERY clever way to feature many Asymmetrical shots before treating us to your final offering Yvette!!! Loved them all (OK, probably the only NON- fan of Breaking Bad in the universe, but otherwise loved them all!) Especially liked your final shot – worth the wait!
