For today’s throwback I bring you to Alum Rock Park. I used to teach some elementary lessons here, and after hikes and talks, some of the classes made the “crust-mantle-core” snack – which is a Hot Tamale candy (core) stuffed inside a marshmallow (mantle) and then rolled in chocolate syrup and graham crackers (crust).
